In December we had a live book event at the Kunzum Bookshop in Delhi. There I met for the first time the artist who did the artwork for the bookcover Lyla FreeChild, my editor Teesta Guha Sarkar, and Saburi Pandit from Pan Macmillan.
We had a wonderful discussion, Alnoor Bhimani, Lyla FreeChild and I, on period art, period tracking apps, how making period art can be healing and transformative and how men talking about periods in a normal way can help reduce gender disparity and mysogyny.
We also spoke about Panties with Purpose, and the role of education in helping to reduce stigma and shame so that people can have dignified menstruation experiences.
